To be eligible for the Foord Family Foundation grant, candidates must be:<\/p>\n

A qualified donee.<\/strong><\/p>\n As per the Government of Canada, \u201cqualified donees are organizations that can issue official donation receipts for gifts they receive from individuals and corporations. Registered charities can also make gifts to them. Qualified donees are as follows:<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text ul_item_indent=”30px” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” header_text_color=”#9B8B83″ header_2_text_color=”#0080C4″ header_3_text_color=”#004069″ global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Community-oriented.<\/strong><\/p>\n Foord Family Foundation grant requires a commitment from donees.\u00a0As such, charities should be prepared to commit to the following conditions upon receival of the grant:<\/p>\n Applicants will be responsible for grant monies and for successful completion of their project. Furthermore, they will be required to provide the organization\u2019s most recent financial statements. Successful candidates will be contacted from the Foundation approximately 6 weeks after the grant application deadline. The Foundation reserves the right to contact applicants for further information or to request further documentation.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ make_equal=”on” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text ol_item_indent=”30px” _builder_version=”4.17.4″ _module_preset=”default” header_text_color=”#9B8B83″ header_2_text_color=”#0080C4″ header_3_text_color=”#004069″ global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n The Foundation will prioritize Vernon and the North Okanagan while staying broad in its grant-making focus areas. The Foundation will consider any eligible organization that requests funding. However, the Foundation will not provide support to the general operations of religious institutions or political organizations. Specific programs offered by religious institutions may be considered for funding, although grants will only be made to qualified grantees.<\/p>\n Charities are evaluated and carefully chosen by the selection committee based on their project needs.
